Lego Ideas (formerly known as Lego Cuusoo) is a website run by Chaordix and The Lego Group, which allows users to submit ideas for Lego products to be turned into potential sets available commercially, with the original designer receiving 1% of the royalties. It started in 2008 as an offshoot of the Japanese company Cuusoo, named after the Japanese word 空想 kūsō (daydream, fantasy).

HOW IT WORKS?

1. HAVE A GREAT IDEA

   The idea is the key! Make sure your idea stands out from the crowd and read the guidelines.

2. BUILD IT

   Build it, either with actual LEGO bricks or using your favourite virtual building tool.

3. SUBMIT

   Take great photos and write a lively description of your build, submit - and wait for our approval.

4. SPREAD THE WORD

   Promote your project offline and online to gain the support needed to win.
